You Thrive In the Environment Where You’re Supported
Some people enter a quiet, minimal space and immediately relax.
Others feel restless in that same space.
Some people need openness and light to think clearly.
Others need more grounded spaces that feel enclosed and protected.
And yet, most people end up designing their homes with trends and a “right way” mentality. That’s something I see constantly in my work.
None of them is wrong.
But when you live in an environment that constantly works against your natural way of functioning, you feel it DEEPLY, even if you can’t explain why or what is bothering you exactly.
You may feel overstimulated, restless, mentally scattered, or visually exhausted.
Or maybe it’s the opposite. You feel flat, uninspired, bored, or disconnected from yourself.
And you might assume there’s something wrong with you.
But what if the environment just isn’t supporting you properly?
People are not all regulated by the same surroundings. We respond differently to color, noise, stimulation, openness, texture and visual energy.
That’s why I believe good design starts with understanding the person first. Not the algorithm or what their friend is doing, but how they really want to feel in the room. How they naturally function.
What kind of environment supports their nervous system—not just visually, but energetically?
Because, as I’ve said before and will keep on saying: your home affects you every single day, whether or not you notice it.
And once you understand that there’s no “one right way” to decorate your own space, everything changes.

Now you stop trying to force yourself into someone else’s aesthetic, and start paying attention to what genuinely supports YOU.
That’s the shift that creates homes that don’t just look good, they feel deeply right.
If you’ve been sensing that your home isn’t fully supporting you, you’re probably noticing something real.
And there’s a different way to approach it.
