Your Home Color Palette includes beachy-cool, natural shades balanced with soft yellow and green.

Stoneware, Porcini and Intuition recall sand, stones, water and sky. Sunshiny Ray of Light warms everything up, while Green Hydrangea balances the palette with its cool undertones. Coachman’s Cape brings a deep, earthy element that contrasts with classic Decorator’s White.

Easy to live with, your palette colors fit right in with the clean lines and welcoming scale of your furniture.

Here’s one way you can use three of the colors in your palette: Decorator’s White on the wall, Intuition on the trim, and Porcini on the far wall.

You don’t need to use all of the colors at once. A good general guideline is to choose two or three colors per room, with at least one of them being a light neutral, like Decorator’s White or Stoneware.

But this is just one idea. In the next email, I’ll show you another variation of your palette in the same space.

When I was a kid, my parents were really into interior design. I used to play with their drafting tools and I drew tons of imaginary floor plans. It’s no surprise that I became an interior designer.

What my parents were doing on a much deeper level was really creating a sanctuary for our family. Through interior design, they crafted rooms that intentionally made us feel at home. No matter what happened at school, I knew that my home (and my mom) were there to welcome me back. 

That’s what I want to do for others--help them create their own sanctuaries where they feel totally at home, no matter what. That’s why I’m an interior designer.

I created this Comfy Coastal furnishings concept just for you, as an example companion to your palette. I think it would make a beautiful first impression in a foyer.

The rug includes all of the colors; it literally grounds the space. From there, everything else relates to each other by shape, color and line, which I think is the essence of “style”. Green and blue keep everything fresh, and reflect back to the rug. Driftwood and wicker bring texture to the sandy colors of your palette.
