You’re
Grounded Traditional!
You’re the sort of person who keeps their cool and plans ahead. You also enjoy helping others succeed in their own ways. Your strong moral guidance system drives you to share your skills with those who can benefit from them.
You have a healthy dose of self-esteem. And even though you know your own value, shouting it from the rooftops isn’t your style. You’re not out to impress anyone; instead, a humble sense of confidence suits you perfectly.
Your Home Color Palette includes deep, rich versions of the classic primary colors, with a couple of twists.
Peruvian Chili stands in for yellow, while Hidden Sapphire and Cascabel Chile bring the depth to primary blue and red. Chimichurri and Porcini offer an earthy element. Contrast comes in with Linen White and After Midnight to round out your palette.
Patina like aged leather but modern in tone, your palette colors could go on any wall or trim, depending on how dramatic you want to get.
Your new Home Color Palette!
Here’s one way you can use three of the colors in your palette: Linen White on the wall, Porcini on the trim, and Cascabel Chile on the hall bench.
You don’t need to use all of the colors at once. A good general guideline is to choose two or three colors per room, with at least one of them being a neutral, like Linen White or Porcini.
But this is just one idea. In the next email, I’ll show you another variation of your palette in the same space.
A Little bit more about me~
When I was a kid, my parents were really into interior design. I used to play with their drafting tools and I drew tons of imaginary floor plans. It’s no surprise that I became an interior designer.
What my parents were doing on a much deeper level was really creating a sanctuary for our family. Through interior design, they crafted rooms that intentionally made us feel at home. No matter what happened at school, I knew that my home (and my mom) were there to welcome me back.
That’s what I want to do for others--help them create their own sanctuaries where they feel totally at home, no matter what. That’s why I’m an interior designer.
Your Grounded Traditional Design Concept!
I created this Grounded Traditional furnishings concept just for you, as an example companion to your palette. I think it would make a beautiful first impression in a foyer.
The rug includes all of the colors; it literally grounds the space. From there, everything else relates to each other by shape, color and line, which I think is the essence of “style”. Black and gold create balance here, and the other colors appear in accessories that reflect back to the rug: the throw pillow, boxy basket and plants.
I offer the collection as design inspiration for you, from my imagination to yours. How would you adapt it for your own home?
