You’re
Peaceful Cottage!
You’re the sort of person who’s compassionate with others, and also with themselves. People are drawn to your welcoming manner because you’re not looking to control the situation. With your live-and-let-live approach to life, you don’t worry too much about other people’s opinions.
You’re strategic with your time, and this allows you to truly relax in the present moment. You have a healthy dose of intuition which serves you well. Going with the flow isn’t a problem for you.
Your Home Color Palette includes cool, light-toned shades balanced with warm yellow and off-white.
Flower Box, Green Hydrangea and Ray of Light recall the English garden outside your door. Summer skies remain all year with Intuition, while Lavender Wash tempers the heat with its cool undertones. Super White and Cameo White add light neutrals to the mix.
Airy and easy to live with, your palette colors could go on any wall in your cozy sanctuary.
Your new Home Color Palette!
Here’s one way you can use three of the colors in your palette: Super White on the walls and trim, Flower Box on the kitchen cabinets and Ray of Light on the front door.
You don’t need to use all of the colors at once. A good general guideline is to choose two or three colors per room, with at least one of them being a neutral, like Cameo White or Lavender Wash.
But this is just one idea. In the next email, I’ll show you another variation of your palette in the same space.
A Little bit more about me~
When I was a kid, my parents were really into interior design. I used to play with their drafting tools and I drew tons of imaginary floor plans. It’s no surprise that I became an interior designer.
What my parents were doing on a much deeper level was really creating a sanctuary for our family. Through interior design, they crafted rooms that intentionally made us feel at home. No matter what happened at school, I knew that my home (and my mom) were there to welcome me back.
That’s what I want to do for others--help them create their own sanctuaries where they feel totally at home, no matter what. That’s why I’m an interior designer.
Your Peaceful Cottage Design Concept!
I created this Peaceful Cottage furnishings concept just for you, as an example companion to your palette. I think it would make a beautiful first impression in a foyer.
The rug includes lots of the colors; it literally grounds the space. From there, everything else relates to each other by shape, color and line, which I think is the essence of “style”. Blues, grays and greens keep everything fresh, and natural wood furniture warms them all up. Basketry and curvy lines bring visual interest to the patina of these pieces.
I offer the collection as design inspiration for you, from my imagination to yours. How would you adapt it for your own home?
